Two days later, I still can’t stop thinking about this episode of Mad Men. In a season full of great episodes this has been my favorite one thus far. Can’t wait to see what Matthew Weiner does with the last two episodes of the season.
These are fictional magazine covers from Blade Runner. They were created by production illustrator Tom Southwell in 1980-1981 and appeared in the background on a magazine stand in the city streets. (!!!!)

I haven’t been able to stop myself from singing this for the past week or so.
Godard loses his glasses and Truffaut takes a spill during the chaos of the abortive screening of Peppermint Frappé at the 1968 Cannes Film Festival. Peppermint Frappé director Carlos Saura and star Geraldine Chaplin were among those trying to prevent the screening as part of the ongoing efforts to shut down the festival.
(Godard is clearly the Velma of the Nouvelle Vague.)
